Not all services provided by your doctor are covered by your health card or private insurance. Your doctor may, in some cases, charge for services rendered.

Note also that any patient who disputes the fee charged for a service on behalf of a physician may appeal to the Collège des médecins du Québec's fee conciliation procedure, which is handled by the syndic's office.
